Trebuchet winch

So, team Hall Monitor (trebuchet) has sort of hit a stand still in it's design schemes. We are having an issue with our counter weight, the issue is....Ka plunk!!! yay!!! our pumpkin flew 1000 feet.. now how do we get the 1000 pound counter weight back up in the air? We have looked at a couple different things, after realizing our 8ft of 4x4 wouldn't be able to support that much weight...

-ok so this is my first journal entry :) Lately I have been on team trebuchet trying to fix up ouor prototypes of the various parts ie: sling, boom, etc. Currently we are working on a supply list for the full sized treb.
